So thats another £30 I need to spend as my car is 2011.
(obviously I'm grateful for seeing it because the cost of failure is much more ).

Just finished replacing mine. Pulled the cover off of one of the old ones. Was in pretty darn good shape as far as I can tell, however there WAS carbon (or something similar) build up and pitting on both sides of the moving part of the relay. Not a ton, but I could see the damage being done over time. My car is only 4-5 years old, so it MAY have been premature, but being so cheap I figured "Why not"?

Hi guys, took a relay out to see how old they are. Can you see a date on my relay?

I think the connectors were reflecting my dark jersey, they were pretty clean. They'll get swapped out anyhow.

The red circle terminal looks burnt and rough compared to the yellow shiny and smooth one.
If it is burnt it may be worth checking the plastic connector block that terminal goes into to make sure it’s not damaged

I am changing my salmon relays today, does it matter that the ones coming out are 64A and the new ones are 62A?
Thanks in advance!

My understanding is that reference is just the production batch number and makes no difference

See how much they are on ebay and amazon, they must think people are......
