I am with Swinton and notified them that I had changed my wheels from the 18" BBS split rims to 19" 437M's and they were fine, no increase in premium and happy to send out new policy paperwork reflecting their agreement to the change.
Coincidentally I am within the 14 day cooling off period of my renewal that starts beginning of Feb. So I am cancelling with the AA and have found alternative quotes elsewhere.
It just goes to show though that you do need to tell your insurance company about a change like this
EDIT: I do note that the compulsory excess goes up by £250 when none standard alloys selected. Anyone else note that?
