E89 roof relay change

Post by boreas7 » Sat May 30, 2020 1:55 pm

Agree totally with deep-sea skateboards comments, I posted a problem with a fuel filler cap and apart from a positive response from smartbear and one other, I just got silly or facile responses so apart from this I won't post again, I just read what others post. I guess if the reader doesn't understand the problem it's easier to just be clever at the expense of the person seeking genuine help.
I now just read.

That’s definitely the placebo effect...it just may be that you’ve just exercised the roof mechanism several times and now all the joints are just slightly more loosened..

Just to douple check. So no need to remove the battery cabels, or? Thinking of doing this today too, just to be sure

I didn't disconnect the battery either and had no issues.

Wow, why did Robbie leave and take all his content down? That's spoiled the threads for others to benefit from. Seems a tad petty to me. Many forums you're not allowed to do that for precisely this reason. Or edit a thread after a set amount of time.

Back on topic I am going to do this job, been procrastinating but I must do it.

it's a pity that he left as he was/is a very knowledgeable man and willing to assist members.

It seems Robbie & Flybobbie antagonised each other and simultaneously vacated the forum after deleting their posts :(

Does seem like a massive over reaction. As spats go on a forum I thought it was quite mild. Seen far worst, even on here, which seems one of the better forums in that respect. In deed I've been involved in a couple that were much worse than this
