E89 roof relay change

Changed mine today.
I was worried when I though they were some different Amp rating but previous comments confirmed these numbers after the date are just manufacturers numbering.

With camera on full magnifcation I couldn't see any real sign of pitting on the lower contact but who knows?
The old ones were marked as being from 2009 so maybe I've been lucky?
New ones ordered from Hubauer in Germany... Super excellent service and I'll be using them again..

thanks Robbi... You've seen a few more old relay contacts than me. My timing to change them was maybe just in time

... I didn't open up the other one but I'll check it out later today...

That’s not the lowest contact, go back to page 14 on this thread & look at the top pic

Did this today on my 2013. One less thing to worry about. I did disconnect the battery just to be sure I did not short anything. Just takes an extra minute to do.

You wouldn’t have shorted anything changing the relays, trust me I’ve changed plenty of them on working railway signalling systems

Just make sure if it's mains voltage that you have sole control of the main breaker.
