Nice
Your video captures the difference better than mine. The Remus makes a huge difference sitting in the driver's seat.

Tried a set of H8 angel eye LED bulbs from Amazon - faffed around for ages trying to decide on which ones to buy, ended up settling on these which recevied very good reviews:
But... they're too big for the headlight enclosure. No amount of messing around with different angles would allow me to actually fit them so back they went.
Then thought I'd go down the halogen route as the next test, so ordered some Philips DiamonVision 5000k bulbs. They're not legal in this country (unlike the 4000k ultra vision bulbs) so had some imported (actually bought 3 sets: 1 from AliExpress, 2 from Ebay):

I'd say I'm 'fairly' pleased with the result - they are noticeably whiter than the standard bulbs, but still have a yellow-ish tinge to them. I may fit another set of LED lights (a shorter bulb design this time!) just to see how they compare.
I've taken a few photos, but unfortunately it is almost impossible to capture the 'true' colour using my phone camera and most of the images don't really highlight the different (some of the photos almost don't show a difference at all ). In each photo, the original bulb is in the left headlight as you look at the front of the car, the Philips bulb is in the right. In real life the difference is a fair bit more obvious.

Looks like the Phillips bulbs gives the same results as the Osrams I fitted to mine, altough in my pics the Osram look somewhat whiter than the Phillips? Also the Osrams are road legal so you can buy them in the UK:

MOT passed with just a single advisory for some rust on one of the front discs - first MOT on a new-to-you car always a bit nervous, so very glad to have this result, especially as my E85 caused so much grief this time last year!
In other news, I've managed to pick up a E9X M-Sport wheel complete with LCI paddles for a decent price. Wasn't convinced I'd like it over the M-Sport wheel I have fitted currently, but sitting in the car today comparing like for like (and no doubt looking like a complete tool - I managed to not make engine rev sounds) I can't really choose between the two, design and feel wise - so given I'll gain LCI paddles I'm going to fit it and see what I think. Have ordered the necessary airbag, comparison pictures to follow. The main difference is the E9X wheel has perforated leather and the spoke design is different, with the buttons ending up at a slightly different angle - possibly it looks marginally better but I haven't seen it with an airbig attached.
Also to answer a debate I see crop up quite often: the LCI paddles from a E9X wheel will NOT fit the Z4 wheel, they are a completely different shape, unfortunately.

Ok, fitted the E9X wheel and it's a keeper.
Original wheel that came with the car:
M-Sport wheel fitted earlier this year:
M-Sport E9X wheel fitted today:
And in the car:
Comparison between the Z4 and E9X wheel:
Diameter: same
Thickness: same
Interchangeable: yup, except for the airbag which is completely different both connector wise and shape
Wheel design: prefer the E9X
Wheel buttons: prefer the E9X
Texture: prefer the Z4 (is is nappa, whereas the E9X wheel is the slightly more shiny standard leather)
Paddles aside, I would have kept the Z4 wheel purely on feel alone, even though I think the E9X wheel looks better. Having the LCI paddles however was my original goal and a quick drive confirms it - night and day better than the pre-LCI paddles (and now match the +/- paddles in my DSG Skoda!)

Also swapped out my Tunai Firefly for a Tune2air unit, as one came up on the forums for a reasonable price (thanks Francis, if you're here). Sound quality seems very similar, the main reason for swapping is I can now use the previous/next wheel controls with my Android phone (and this is confirmed working, testing with the Amazon music app).
Went on a drive up to the British Motor museum yesterday with my Dad and 3 brothers to celebrate my birthday - we've all caught the convertible bug and took an amusing array of cars with us (Volvo C70, Astra CC, Saab 93 Aero, my Z4)

Happy birthday Timmyboyhunter! for what it's worth I prefer the look of the standard Z4 wheel and paddles but that's probably because I don't tend to use the paddles that much! The E9X wheel would look good with that trim piece around the buttons and M logo done in carbon fiber.Timmyboybunter wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 4:59 pm Went on a drive up to the British Motor museum yesterday with my Dad and 3 brothers to celebrate my birthday -
