Yep they come with a choice of 4 different interchangeable slides. However, as they are such a pain to fit I doubt whether once you have made your initial choice of image you would want to change it.
I 100% agree

Could someone post a picture of what the original light looked like on the door prior to replacement?

Fitted mine, OEM a few days ago, chose the M logo as well, bit of colour looks nice. For OEM you need to lengthen the slot in the door panel to 64 mm, two seconds with a stanley knife sorts that out. The replacements are longer and also have a nice metal heatsink block to keep the LED cool.
I found that my internal cabling was not long enough to connect them without removing the door panel, this is an easy procedure and gives you the chance to clean behind it while you're in there. If you put a bucket under the door the panel sits nicely on top of it without straining any wires while you work.
Well worth £55 of anyones money....

Understand was just looking for before pictures to compare to the lights I have there. To see if I could do the same mod.

Has anyone got a link to the cheapo ebay versions that they actually bought and fitted? Also, were there were any issues re: fitting and how have they held up? Being a cheapskate. :D I know I have the extended lighting package. My puddle lights seem a bit dim tbh. Maybe a clean would help.

I just bought a pair and likewise struggling with the cable connection length. Before I go for the door car removal approach I just wondered if there might be a short extender cable type solution available that anyone has come across...2" would make all the difference :)

I found the end of the cable in the door was very rigid, attached close to the projector unit.
Just pop the door covers off its far easier than lying on your back trying to fiddle around plugging in a lead.

Just a screwdriver and door card nylon type tools needed, and the buckets of course?

I thought I might have a go at fitting these projector type door lights when I retrofit the extended light to my car (door handles - in/out, door "pouches", puddle lights and footwell lights). I would like to go with OEM/ BMW original ... have you seen how the price has shot up now?? Seems like they £55 or so a year or so ago ... now they seem to be £110+!!!

I might go aftermarket route if I can find a set that actually fit well ...

Best

Looking good. But they have a second use. Easier to find your keys when you drop them after a visit to the pub!! :D
