On the topic of cleaning I was talking to a guy who had immaculate wire wheels on a MGB.I asked how he cleaned them and kept them looking so good.He used a product called Muc Off.

Maybe you just misheard him
Muc off is a bike cleaner. Never thought of using it on car wheels. I shall give it a try.
