Guys,
I have a Carmine red 35i and I am thinking of painting the rear silver shell over the 'roll hoops' either completely or partly (as per pics) to match the car paintwork.
I am thinking about this because I have a black interior with dark wood so its all very 'dark' in there.
They are coloured in 'procreate photo programme so no highlights as you can see on the bodywork but you get the idea.
Thoughts chaps??

hi, you say its all very dark in the interior, not sure how changing the roll hoops will lift the brightness at all? Its behind you you wont notice it -looks a bit tacky for me sorry.

Sorry I have to ask, who is Scarlet?
Also IMO if you are going to paint the hoop, paint the whole thing
Does this image help you decide?

Prefer the originals but we are all different. If you fancy the red go for it. It’s your car and as long as you like the outcome it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks.

Being silvery gives the impression of strength and strong, as they are glorified roll bars. Being that red colour they look plastic and not strong.

I think they look good, bit like the colour coded ones on the Boxster 981. I did think of doing that to mine, I would buy a second hand set and have a spare incase you changed your mind

I think you would have got the same response if you'd asked about sticking 'Scarlet' on the back of your car, so go for it...

OK guys, i will end this thread with a no, the photos of the car in melbourne red kind of convinced me.
As for Scarlet and who she is, well that's a mystery and will remain so.
It draws a lot of positive attention though.
And for those obsessed with symmetry
i guess it evens up the back end

How about wrapping those hoops with shiny black? Never cared for the matte silver.
