Yeah me too mate. But it's a minefield to those unwise to these matters. Ride height, spacers, tyre sizes...... Very confusing.
My 35is is completely stock. I want to work out how to get genuine 437's onto it with decent none runflat tyres and what i need to buy/do.

Aftermarket vs Genuine 437M?
Sorry for the delay on this guys, been super busy, will post pics up when I get a chance
I have had these running on stock springs,, no rubbing under compression, or any rubbing that I have noticed. Obviously ymmv depending on tyres used and springs. These fill the arches nicely and look great
So these will literally bolt on to your car. You can put your existing 225 / 255 tyres on but it will have a slight stretch on the tire. I would reccomend 235 / 265 non run flat tyres. Pilot Sport 4S is a great tyre.step_change wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 5:25 pm Yeah me too mate. But it's a minefield to those unwise to these matters. Ride height, spacers, tyre sizes...... Aftermarket vs Genuine 437M?
I've just got some genuine 437m fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres. I picked them up for £500 and had them refurbed in silver since I hate black wheels. Cost £850 (excluding tyres) all in which is a bargain for wheels which cost £3500 new. Really can't see why anyone would bother with reps when genuine ones are available for so little.
Went with 275/30r19 and 255/35r19 to try and keep the rolling radius as close as possible front and rear. In hindsight I probably should have gone 245/35 on the front since there's slight rubbing at full lock on the wheel liner.
The change going from crappy cast wheels to forged is amazing. The weight difference is staggering. Even though the new wheels are 1/2inch wider with larger tyres they still weigh 5lbs less per corner. The ride is much less crashy than before which I'm guessing is down to the weight loss.
I'll post up some pictures when I get around to cleaning the car. It's currently filthy

What shade of silver did you go for? Need to have mine refurbed but can't decide what colour. Did you retain the diamond cut finish or powder coat?R.E92 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 11:11 am I've just got some genuine 437m fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres. And 5lb reduction per corner is great, translates to even more considering it is unsprung mass

The weight is noticeable but the biggest improvement is the ride. The VMR V710 wheels made every bump in the road feel like a pothole. I suppose the suspension had to take the force of a 13kg wheel, now only has to deal with 10kg of wheel.sunnydays wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 10:59 pmWhat shade of silver did you go for? I should have changed to forged wheels years ago. Probably the biggest improvement in overall driving since the runflats came off.
The refurb was done by "The Wheel Specialist" in Nottingham. I went for a colour called hi power silver. They're a silver powder coat over a black base. I decided against a diamond cut finish because I wanted more longevity, also think it's too blingy for my tastes.
TWS were good, would definitely go back there. I spotted a couple of imperfections in the finish when sealing the wheels but overall happy with the finish. Only time will tell how the finish holds up against the elements.

So has anyone actually weighed these wheels and/or wheel/tyre combos?
