Hello Guys and girls,
Possibly thinking about changing the Z4M for something more compliant on the UK b roads.
Just wondering if anyone has jumped from an M to a 35i and could compare the two?
Prices for Audi TTRs's look good, they seem to get stick on forums but alot of car for the money.

Z4m - Z4 35i
I haven’t had a Z4M but have had a 3.0si and a Alpina Roadster S.
I’ve had a 35i DCT now for 2 months.
Power delivery is very different, much more torque, which is very smooth.
It doesn’t handle the best, but I guess it wasn’t designed too compared to the Alpina, however I find it much more comfy.
The dash and interior which is now 10 years old doesn’t feel anywhere near as dated as the older Z4 models either.
As with everything it’s subjective, take one for a drive and see what you think.

John e89 has both of these right now so might be one of the best people who could give proper back to back comparisons of them.

I had an MR followed by a 35is and its like comparing apples with pears. As said the power delivery of the E89 is smooth and mated with the DCT it really covers the tarmac quite quickly, however, the handling is not the sharpest. Probably best to test drive an E89 and then you can make an informed decision.

I’ve gone the opposite direction 35i to Z4m, as with previous quotes there completely different cars, currently I’m enjoying the M a lot more, yes the E89 is a very quick car & the way it delivers it is vey smooth, particularly with a MHD map. However for my needs of a weekend fun car the M fits the bill better.
Saying that I wouldn’t want the M as a daily drive this is where the E89 excels in almost every department.
