Just test drove the 35 with DCT. Let's start with the positives:
- Satnav was lovely
- Interior and dash lovely
- Seats "ok", but not M sport type.
Now the negatives
- Run flats ... ouch
- Steering wheel - the same as the standard Z4 and very thin
- On twistie roads, the car was seeking a lot (run flats?) and was not as balanced as my M. Roadholding was very unsure.
- Engine / exhaust nowhere near sounding as nice as the M
- Power delivery not as urgent as the M
In summary, this is a great car if you are coming from a old Z4 3.0 as it really reminded me of driving my old Z4 3.0.
It sure is not an M replacement, and I would never consider it unless there was an M.
