I saw one outside my local dealership so quickly pulled in for a closer look. it was a black 2.3. I thought I would be impressed seeing it in the flesh, but I was soooo dissapointed ! that much so after 2 minutes I drove off. yes the interior looks really nice but the car doesn't look sporty and looks a comfy cruiser for the American Market. not only that the original z4 was ground breaking with the flame surfacing design, this thing is bland.
I think mercedes should worry about sales, but I don't think Porsche will have anything to worry about. give me a boxster anyday.

Re: Rick Hunter's Impressions Part 2
Great review, Rick!!
Like I've said, the E89 Z4 doesn't look all that bad in person - because you don't see all its flaw at the same time.
Sitting next to the E86M, the E89 looks weaksauce. The E86 looks lower, meaner. The lines are sharp and purposeful. On the E89, the lines are distracting and cluttered.

Re: Rick Hunter's Impressions Part 2
I personally think the new Z4's headlights and wider kidney grille really make the car more powerful and aggressive looking (even in alpine white). The red Z4M looks more gentle.GP20 wrote:Great review, Rick!!
