I think you’ll find any modifications are going to void warranties Buster, it goes with the territory :?

After a week of driving with the new map I can only say one thing: should have done this long ago.
After 3-4 years of using the car on a daily basis, I got very used to it and there was no longer much excitement about it. Now the excitement is back :D
The missus: "have you done something with the car? the acceleration pedal feels easier to press" :)) She knows or cares nothing about cars :)

One thing that I noticed: the gear change indication seems smarter than i thought it was, it now actually tells to change gears faster than before. For example, it used to ask for 6th gear at 80km/h, now it's somewhere around 75km/h.
I never cared much about fuel consumption, but I did check it before the mod, and I am curious to see how it changes now. Although it might not be very accurate in the beginning, with me getting back at driving sporty pretty much every time :D

I just got a quote for £360 for the stage 3 / 280bhp remap. Why are there different prices for different people with the same remap? £295, £320, £360. I don't get it.

I got a quote also for that one and it was over £300.

Incidentally, is the stage two the same map that comes with the 28i or have they tinkered it in some way?

I've queried the quote with Celtic, and apparently the price in England is £295 and in Scotland it's £360 for no apparent reason other than they let the Scottish dealer network choose their own price and that's what they went with.

I’m in Devon, not far from Newquay where they are based. Definitely was over £300, not sure what it would be if I went down to them.

Mentioned this in another thread but I queried my insurer (eSure) who said it would cost a measly £16 extra per year for the 280bhp remap. Which is an absolute bargain.
