Busterboo, you made me get my calculator out! I assume that was for 1 hour of Labour :D

Amazing that the main dealer is so tight they charge for lube with that labour rate! You would think workshop sundries would be included.

On the bright side you will now have less money to spend on easter eggs which is good for your health.

Only £202 for a pair of disks?
My total bill at an Indy for fronts only on the 335 was £640

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

I hope you gave them a tip for being so reasonable I mean £198 for labour. That's hardly enough to cover their tea break.

Yep, I checked with my local indy and, for this job, Sytner were cheaper.

Was that about £800 inc VAT in total?

Not bad for dealership work

I paid £490 for just the fronts, so seems about right. Those discs are a bugger aren’t they, bloody dustbin lids.

I paid £640 for the front brakes (370mm) on the 335 - at an Indy - BMW wanted £850 ish for the job.

I think you’ve got a bargain - I’ve just checked with Europarts online and their discs are circa £220 each for the 35is and of course only sold as a pair ! So discs front only would have been £440.

Your £202 is a comparative bargain even after you add the vat :
I suspect somebody in the parts dept has dropped a bollock!

Ps - if the price is correct i will travel south to have mine done when they need it.

It really isn’t hard to do this yourself and it’s quite satisfying when you’ve down the work yourself! Save half that cost as well...

I know - I used to do all my own work but a neck / spinal problem prevents that activity these days - it goes against the grain to pay money for such a simple job that I used to do without thinking,
I should really get rid of a lot of tools , ie the ramps /axle stand type of stuff.

Not half the cost, but only the labour ... also I don't have the facilities/tools to do the job ... and, anyway, it would ruin my nails.

Before going to Sytner's, I checked with a well-known local indy and, for the fronts, he wanted £330 + VAT.
