Having a drive around on Sunday and my girlfriend said whats this button for on the front left corner of her seat[passenger side]. Since the seats are manually controlled I said try it out, which she did and exclaimed "it's a hug button" :D :D I tried the one on my seat and low and behold my seat hugged me too.
Really loving this car :driving:

Weirdly my 35iS doesn't have this button, despite having electric seats otherwise.

Haha yeah I have one too. I'm glad I found it because when I initially test drove the car it was hugging too tight for me to sit comfortably and I thought I was gonna be too fat for the car or something, but then I discovered it and managed to unclench the seat's tight grip on me.

There are a lot of options on the seat spec you could have ordered from the factory, mine is only electric with memory, neither the round 4 way button nor the 2 way "hug" button are on my seats

I believe the “hug” button is on all Sport Seats, so your 35is should have it. It’s a general bmw thing for all their sport seats

I just found it! I felt for it when I first got the car, felt the blank bit of plastic where the lumbar control circle is and assumed that was that. Went a bit further round today et voila! Hug mode engaged.
