Any experience of chipping an E89 20i

Folks

I recently bought a 66 plate 20i. I’m reasonably happy with the performance but I am contemplating getting it chipped. Presumably there are probably a number of you who have done this? What’s the collective experience of performance gains, impact on fuel consumption, etc. Any positives / negatives that I should be considering?

Well I can't speak for performance etc, but one thing to maybe think about or check is if your insurer will cover your car after you chipped it. Mine (eSure) wouldn't so I had to leave it

But I do know a few folks on this forum have chipped 20i's before and have had good experiences.

Look at Celtic Tuning if considering this. Got mine done a couple of weeks ago, and above 2500rpm it now absolutely goes, especially in sport mode. They claim 280bhp from their stage 3 remap that I got, but will need to arrange a visit to a rolling road to get this verified.
