I've never managed 400 miles in my Z4 - maybe I like the loud pedal too much!

It just seems a shame that when BMW were picking the components from their parts bin they used so many 3 Series bits for the Z4, but hobbled it with the 1 Series fuel tank size! :headbang:

You mean there are cars out there that will do more than 400 miles on a tank. :o Can't say I have ever owned one. :D :driving: I'm unlikley to make it 300 on a run in my little Mazda2. And well the Zed ERM less than that. :P

Definitely - my petrol 325s (so 63 litre tank) both did over 400 miles with ease.

My 123d (55 litre tank) managed over 500 miles on 1 tank, but my 320td (63 litre tank) regularly did over 600 miles on 1 tank.

When paying the highest price for petrol in the OECD, no matter how frugal and careful you are with fuel economy, it only means the difference between getting raped or gang raped at the pump... :headbang:
All I can say is I'm glad it's not a daily driver

I managed 415 miles from a full tank in my 35i manual driving like a nuns mum on mostly motorway with some urban. Since then my right foot has become notably heavier and 350 is my typical range, still driving calmly with very occasional spurts of ooomphness :driving:

I did get over 500 Miles out of a tank about three times - but keeping under 60 miles per hour - it was hard to maintain and a painful drive.

However, in the M2, I am getting under 250

I'm getting 360 to 380 a tank from my 23i. My driving style is pretty cruisey though!

I think I’m too intoxicated by the sound when I’m pushing on to worry much about miles per tank😜
It’s a toy too make you smile, and still considerably cheaper than a wife.

Smartbear wrote: ↑Mon Dec 17, 2018 5:02 pm Had a longish drive from Somerset to Essex and back recently at a sensible 70/80mph which resulted in 430miles on a single fill up with 35miles remaining, must say I’m been impressed with the fun/cost ratio that the 20i provides :driving:
Once ..... and only once, I managed 455miles from a single fill in mine, remember I was beginning to fret so couldn't have been a lot left in the tank, about 10-15 I think  A bit slower than your's though at 66mph and nearly all done on cruise control, but could probably have been improved on with manual feathering of the throttle. Very boring and haven't repeated the exercise to find out. I just wanted to see what it was capable of, impressive though for a 3 litre

Generally speaking, I'm usually around 250-275 on a tank and fill up when the 50-60 mile warning comes on
Next Z landed ..... Z3 3.0i Sport Roadster

Z4 35iS ..... Gone to a new home
