Making power with the N20 with its sophisticated turbo is not the issue, cooling the head and stopping it cracking is the problem..on the road, on a track there are other issues but they don’t appear in road use...

Well since I had my 28i for over 3 years - and did over 35K miles stage 2 - plus 10 track days - I had no issues.

However, with the JB4 it only kicks in when the oil Temp is ready - and if its see the engine going beyond its safe marks it will cut the power - what a remap will not do.

The limitation of running an 300+ BhP Z4 - was the intercooler - never found a solution that worked.

I just had my 18i remapped in the summer.. DO IT! from 155bhp up to 270... :lol: :evil: :driving: go to a decent mapper and get it done properly, totally worth it!!

What Rob says.. ^^ Pretty much the same. They can increase the Rev limit a bit, and it'll probably feel a bit smoother too
