Just an update - got the wiring and bulb replaced by the vendor, so I'll retract my previous statement as I am quite happy with the result !

Good news, that does look a lot better. Result!
Sounds like they may have a quality control issue though.

Really like these side skirt extensions and the front splitter. Where did you get the side skirts from?

The front splitter is a direct bolt on, no drilling needed. You have to undo several bolts from under the car, put the splitter in place, then redo the bolts, job done and its installed.Marky264 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 5:37 pm Absolutely love the carbon treatment. I had sourced a Splitter but it was Matte Black not Carbon. However fraction of price at £120 however I’d need to fit it myself which I’m not overly keen of doing!
Question for you when they fitted it did they drill holes into the bumper or the chassis of the car?
Also the side skirts do you they do a package where you can have all of it done? Cheers!
So much better, I am really pleased for you!
Did they upgrade you to another model? Can you confirm which ones they are, I'd like to get the same now.

I’ve seen the carbon tips , I like them, but are you saying they can’t just be fitted over the existing tips?step_change wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 10:23 am I'd like to find a way to put carbon fibre effect tips on the exhausts. The stock ones look shite. But it is a cutting job on the exhaust to do and I am not sure I want to do that. Not sure Machine Monkey does ones for the 35is that slip over and tighten from underneath.

Yes, that is what I am saying. The stock factory exhaust pipe tips have to be hacksawed off and replacements reattached - at least that's what I have managed to gather from researching this. A right faff.... I wish there was a Carbon Fibre option that could be screwed over the existing (stock) tips. I am all ears if someone knows a way to do this.Phoenixboy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 9:24 pmI’ve seen the carbon tips , I like them, but are you saying they can’t just be fitted over the existing tips?step_change wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 10:23 am I'd like to find a way to put carbon fibre effect tips on the exhausts. Thanks mate.
No it was the same kit I ordered for 75 quid. I guess I just had a faulty bulb which was replaced by vendor.

Yeh, that’s what I was hoping for, thought the carbon tips just slid over the standard tips, with some sort of screw to hold them in place.step_change wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 1:19 pmYes, that is what I am saying. There seem to be carbon slip over tips available in various diameters, but can’t see any screw on them to hold them in place like mm tips have.Phoenixboy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 3:56 pmYeh, that’s what I was hoping for, thought the carbon tips just slid over the standard tips, with some sort of screw to hold them in place.step_change wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 1:19 pmYes, that is what I am saying. They appear to just slide over the tips.
Not sure of size for 30i, would have to measure, but then unless they were an incredibly good fit, not sure they would stay on, unless you drilled a small hole in the underside of the tips and put a screw in to hold tip in place?

Indeed, but I cannot find any such CF tips that are place over and bolt on for the 35is. If anyone finds them then please share. would make a massive difference I think to the rear fo the car.Phoenixboy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 3:56 pmYeh, that’s what I was hoping for, thought the carbon tips just slid over the standard tips, with some sort of screw to hold them in place.step_change wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 1:19 pmYes, that is what I am saying. will send you the exact link you need to order for your 35is exhaust once I've got them installed with a solid clip, just give me a little time, I will try to put a" how to" guide together. Plus I need to showcase my latest mod!
