Exhaust trims..
Hey all, looking for some suggestions or ideas..
The exhaust trims on my car (e89, 18i) are looking a bit.. well.. tired and past their best. Does anybody out there in Z-land have any experience of alternatives that will fit? I've asked the local Stealers.. they were slightly less than useless, unless I wanted to pay a ridiculous sum for direct replacements. I could go that route, but I'm not a fan of the satin aluminium look of the standard set.
Does anybody know if anything from the rest of the BMW range will fit? It would Ideally be Stainless or even the shiny black ones, I'm open to ideas!
I thought asking here might be a great idea before I spend hours trawling through pages and pages of t'internet

Exhaust trims..
Hi, someone on here had his original e89 trims polished up like chrome-it involved using machines and wasn’t done by hand!Burple wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 12:02 pm Hey all, looking for some suggestions or ideas..

Thanks guys! I had thought about getting the old ones off and polishing them up to remove the nickel coating, didn't however fancy the hours of polishing
I may still go that way tho!
I had heard that X1 trims would fit, but i saw a few at the local Stealers, and they look too long.
I love the Akrapovic ones, they look great!
I'm very tempted to go the aftermarket route - sadly there's nowhere near us I can go to check them out. I may have to plan a wee road trip..

I bought a set off amazon for £20 they are chrome and slashed. They were recommended by a few people on here. Not sure if they will fit on the E89 but I’m sure someone will know https://www.amazon.co.uk/Top-Longer-Sta ... tips&psc=1

Thanks for this, they look pretty good but I think they're a bit big.. The e89 (at least I think they're ll the same) pipes are 57mm, these are for 6.0 - 6.3 cm qaccording to a question answered by the seller. close but no cigar!
