I've been running MHD Stage 1+ on a stock 35i for over 6 months and it's great. Unless you are doing repeated, long pulls (ie track day) the stock intercooler is OK.
If you are really worried about your intake air temperatures you can run standard Stage 1 (part of the same map package) or monitor them real time.
Before you remap, it's worth changing coils and plugs. My car started misfiring right away on the old plugs.
All you need is:
- Cheap android tablet or phone: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-MediaPa ... wei+tablet
- USB OTG cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Converts ... ds=usb+OTG
- K+Dcan cable (you can actually add on USB OTG here too) https://www.bimmergeeks.net/product-pag ... -pro-cable
Then follow the excellent instructions MHD provides. It's as easy as registering a profile on this forum.

Hey thanks for the info.
The would be no track use, it’s my daily driver so just road use. Where abouts in the country are you based?
