Well showed myself up on the train.
Bare mind, I havenโ€™t been on a train for 10yrs.
Standing waiting outside the toilet thinking, I wish theyโ€™d get a move on, Iโ€™m bursting.
Attendant comes by, everything ok she says, well it will be when I can get in there I say.
Press that button there she says, and the door opens.
Then proceeds to tell me , that button closes the door, that button locks the door, and that button opens door when your finished.
Really I say, now feeling slightly embarrassed by my lack of train knowledge.
I was about to say, is there a button to press for wiping you a..
But thought better of it, as itโ€™s still a long way to go yet, and I donโ€™t fancy the walk.
You live and learn๐Ÿ˜€

IRD wrote: โ†‘Mon Oct 15, 2018 12:20 pm Hope all goes well. I collected mine way back in July. I know exactly how you feel. We travelled from Lincoln to Cheltenham and I was up at the crack of dawn. Iโ€™m well into my seventies and still enjoy the thrill of a new car. Why would anyone ever want to grow up?
I'm only 68 so there's hope for me yet, I thought it was only me who never grew up, the trouble is you don't grow old in your mind but your body certainly does.

Congrats on the pick up! Safe journey back to the 'sunny' south west (driving home from Exeter tonight was NOT fun).
Good to have another Devon e89!

I've used trains 3 times in the last 5 years - and each time it was to collect a car!

Hope the OP has a great drive home - it's certainly far enough to get used to the car! :driving:

I'm looking forward to the next instalment - and the compulsory photos of course!
