Found this post on the Zpost forum. Think I might look into doing this. Has anyone done it already?

Great find!

Looks interesting! I'm in 2 minds... I feel like it should have a cover over it to keep the flush look BUT saying that it would be handy!

May have to see what the UK part price is!

Dont like it.
It looks much better with the lid.
A shame that theres not an in between with the lid still there but the storage under it the full size without the ashtray and cig lighter.

Completely agree. I prefer the clean look of having the lid, but would be nice to have the extra storage space.

If you want more space you can get a compartment that fills the under-armrest cubbyhole with one large tray

If you have the phone holder under the armrest there is also a mat that can be purchased from BMW and the phone holder can be removed and the mat sits in the space left as well. Done this a few years ago.

I like! I've already removed the phone holder but don't have the mat. Do you have a part number by any chance?

Heres a link to the parts needed. The mat for under the phone holder is item 10.
