Missing my 35is!

Post by sunnydays » Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:22 am

Hey all,

Been a while, I had a Z4 35is for around a year, sold it many months ago. Man what a car! Loved the exhaust burbles, the speed with MHD was crazy and the violent DCT shifts were a thing of beauty! Looking back objectively the 35is is a great car that ticks so many boxes, and I kind of miss it! lol

I am considering moving back in to a Z4 35is maybe.

Any thoughts guys, did not expect to miss the car this much hah.

Thanks!

Comes highly recommended by some discerning Forum members (and it's the same as mine - except much lower mileage and a lot cleaner!)
///M Roadster. 2007 Black/Black. Rear spoiler, whippy aerial, mud flaps and gimp-style wind deflector! :)

I bought my end of the line big spec 35is as a keeper - but at 70 who knows how long that is? πŸ˜‚
It should outlast me!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

I understand - I miss my Z4 as well, even though I upgraded to an M2.

However, logic at the moment is going for an E85 Z4 M - need to wait for a while as the house is draining all spare funds

Curious, what part do you miss about e89? I've had thought of switching to M2 couple of times. 8)
What I do love about my 35iS is its fun to drive every single time. Specially the catless downpipe exhaust makes it so much fun.

Well everything about the E89 was special, it has to be the best looking car I have owned. When you got inside it was an event - it felt special. Having coil overs and removed down pipe - added to the sensation.

The M2 - felt boring - bland and quite normal. However, having full scorpion exhaust and removed downpipes have transformed the car. It now sounds and feels how an M car should be, however, it's only when your driving at the limits the car comes alive. But I dont give the m2 a quick sneeky peek, unlike the Z4, as it looked an amazing car.

And been honest open-top driving - I absolutely loved it.

The M2 is more refined and love the sound and the ability to own B roads - however, I would/am considering a E85 Z4
