E89 35is and 437M style wheels?

Post by step_change » Tue Sep 04, 2018 8:38 am

Hi all,
I'm getting ahead of the curve.... The tyres have worn sufficiently now for me to consider a new set of wheels for my 35is over the next few months. Only a matter of time before one of them cracks on the standard run flats and leaves me stranded so thinking of new wheels and none-RFT tyres.

I really like the 437M style. Would those fit? The car is standard setup and no spacers or anything.

Bit of a minefield this issue of tyres and wheel it appears.... ???

Are the replica ones any good?
Mr Wilks, what do you mean "more pokey on the stance" ???

The genuine ones are wider rims so 9j & 10j as opposed to 8.5 + 9.5 + the genuine rears are a lower offset so its those that will sit "pokey" as in wider in appearance than your current wheels or indeed the rep set .

So will the genuine ones catch on full lock? The wider stance is still legal?

Rather than starting a new thread, I'm currently looking at putting these wheels on my car in order to make some space for fitting M4 brakes on the front end.
What size of tyre did you fit with these? I'm hoping 275/30/19 on the rear and 235/35/19 on the front as that'd give a little more sidewall than the normal Z4 19 inch tyre and compromise the ride as little as possible, would I be able to get away with a higher profile even?
Any help would be much appreciated!

+1 also looking at these wheels (the cmwheels reps, not oem 437s), so also interested in tyre sizes

Player 1 do you have adaptive M suspension? Its my understanding that this affects the ride height and thus the well clearance. Are the 275/30/19 close to the arch?
