Me too - they're getting quite common now - Porsche, Range Rover, Merc, etc.

Get some driving gloves, they look rather dapper and a lot cheaper too! :D

Do they do anything similar to the mercedes Air Scarf?

Driving gloves - anywhere good online to get a decent pair withough paying too much? Just for winter top-down driving though - it's the only part of me that gets cold when it's <5degC.

£145's a lot just for a heated wheel is it not? Although when you're spending £30k+ on a new car it's a small drop in the ocean.

That said some BMW branded or M driving gloves could make an ideal gift from a partner ;)

Had the heated steering on my 05 530i and have it on my current X5. It is a very nice option.

That's the only thing my wife misses about her former X5.

Surely a relatively easy retrofit, on a relay with the driver's side heated seats ?

Be interesting to see if an E89 wheel fits, (minus paddles etc) .. although it would take quite something to get me away from the //M wheel.. it's fab.
