So, I am a new Z4 owner so this may be a silly question.

On the iDrive thing where it tells you the vehicle status regarding oil change, vehicle inspection etc. All sections are saying 'ok' which is good. For each item, lets say oil change, it then says 'in 11,000'.

Does this mean, in 11,000 miles it will need an oil change, or does it mean when I get to 11,000 it needs an oil change? The date is next Spring.

I should add that since I got the car I have done about 800 miles and the 11,000 figure hasn't changed.

Can someone explain it to me please!

If it is the same as the E85, then it means it has recently been reset and you have 11,000 miles of smiles before it is next due. :driving:

Yes, it means on the BMW "Condition Based Servicing" plan you may have 11,000 miles of fun before you need to think about booking it in.

If the previous owner used it in busy traffic in rush-hours and you just trundle around in quiet places out of rush-hours you may well be able to do 800 miles without the "miles to next service" reducing.

But if the date shows next Spring you need to get it serviced at the first "pointer" - it's mileage and time based!
Coupes because stunning!

Thanks all, most encouraging! Lets hope for some more decent weather before the winter sets in, might get the mileage then before the date comes up!
