Do you close your roof?

Always close mine if the car's out of my sight. Even in the garage at home, but that's mainly to stop the cats getting into it and leaving dead mice for me :)

Close it every time. No brainer.

Not just because of the flying poop squad, but you're going to be gutted if some pond life nicks your iPod / phone / sunglasses etc.

What does your insurance say about leaving your car open?

It's the spiders for me. Driving along when you see a big hairy out of the corner of your eye, just waking after a night's kip in your nice comfy car.

If I'm in Shrewsbury happy to leave the roof down with the windows up, if I'm in Wolverhampton the roof is up and a perimeter of large angry dogs is deployed around the car

I always close roof when car parked up. Small print of insurance policy will probably contain sentence somewhere of car being left parked secure when unattended. Roof down and unattended would probably mean not secure therefore insurance claim could be rejected. Not worth taking a chance in my opinion.

....really tempted to get a smart top....would close it every time then.

Thinking about it, I realise this is just a convenience thing, not wanting to spend the extra seconds (and lets face it, it is only seconds!) closing and opening the roof.

Hardly ever leave car parked with roof down because in summer everything gets hot and in winter it will rain the minute its out of your sight (that did actually happen nipped in doors to get some paperwork / have a pee couldnt have been more 5 minutes came out raining luckily not to heavily) , on saturday was sticking shopping in boot when a chap pulled up a couple bays down in an SL500 walks off roof down ,thats eithier brave or stupid couldnt quite decide

Mine is always parked in the garage so the roof is just left down unless it's been wet and the roof needs to dry, when we are out it really depends on where we are but i'm always paranoid if it's down.

I suppose is it cheaper to fix a roof that's been slashed or cleanup by someone throwing something inside :|

What a pain that we even have to think about these things, so many scummy people about now it's horrible :(
