My car’s mashed

srhutch wrote: Tue Jul 31, 2018 8:26 pm Did the sleeper take any of the weight, or do you think the underneath is undamaged?
The front wheels were still on top of the sleeper so it didn’t crash down onto the sills, I noticed the small wind/rain deflectors in advance of the front wheels are a bit beaten up (I’ve only just replaced one of them as well)
Most of the damage is to the rear end, could have been much worse, he must have just missed taking out the side of Ann’s mini :o

They’re trying to see if it can be repaired before I move on the 8th, if that’s not a goer I’ll be doing as you suggest

Really sorry to read this Rob. :(

Especially as if things had gone smoothly you would have already been living somewhere else! :headbang:

I just hope you can get your car sorted fairly painlessly, and that the scrote got caught! With a bit of luck he may "fall down the stairs"! :)

Never heard of anything like this. Madness. You’re taking it very well - in writing, at least! Hope you get everything sorted with minimal fuss.

Needs a rear bumper & boot lid repair, new rear light and some small bits&bobs, after speaking to my insurance co they’ve kindly agreed to waver my excess charge.

On the plus side these babies seem to absorb quite a bit of punishment without folding up like a Coke tin!

Just remember the boot lid is part of the folding roof mechanism, get the dealer the check roof alignment.
