Ouch... you must be gutted Rob; any updates re: insurance, guessing it was a stolen vehicle?

<Pistonheads Mode On> Should have worked harder, bought a place with a garage and a lower crime rate. <Pistonheads Mode Off>

Joking aside, crap luck fella and hope its all sorted swiftly ..... you may be able to claim from the car owners insurance as its a result of a theft of their insured vehicle.

You just never know when something bad is going to happen.
If you liked the car and it had no problems I hope its fixable.
If you didn't and it had a few niggles then hopefully it isn't.
Maybe time for an upgrade.
Was this at your new house or have you not moved yet?

It makes you want to do something really nasty that causes a huge amount of pain to the perpetrator. As lovers of our cars we feel some of your pain and hope it all gets resolved quickly.

This makes tough reading, I’m very sorry this has happened to you. Hopefully the damage won’t be to extensive and sliding over the gravel helped to absorb some of the impact and thereby reduce the potential damage

Hi, I haven’t moved yet & that makes the problem worse as I’m not to keen on traveling a 400mile round trip to pick it up after the repairs. Especially if I’m not happy with it for any reason!
Waiting to hear if they can get it to Somerset for the repair work to be carried out.
I’m supposed to be moving in 8 days time.

Sorry to see this Rob, what a scumbag :x As others have said, looks like the gravel allowed it to slide and take some of the energy out of it. Not what you need at anytime but a nightmare with an impending move. Hope all get's sorted soon & smoothly

Do you have an idea of the extent of the damage yet Rob? just wondered if its drivable, and you can stall the repairs till you move,, Just mentioned it to Josh (my son you met at Beaulieu), and he is gutted for you,
I am really hoping you are not going to say this car has done 18000k, as that does seem to be your bogey mileage
