Cup Holder
Does anybody have any good recommendations for cup holders?
My car hasn’t got any, and I think you can get them for the arm rest storage but i’m wondering if they are too far back to be comfy?
Its for a camelback waterbottle with the bite thing, so spillage isn't a problem, so the armrest one might not be too bad.
I’ve seen the one they do for lhd cars that goes on the passenger side of the gear stick and know they dont do that for rhd.
What about those Halford specials that clip over the window sill?
Any ideas? Its to prompt me to drink more water, so 25 minute commute could be over a litre in total (i’m terrible at drinking enough water).

Spent ages looking for one for mine. It was one of the things that really ticked me off about owning the zed.
The armrest ones are pretty shallow so I’m now sure they’d handle a camelback bottle, plus you have to keep the armrest up, which would be a pain.
You use to be able to get one that clipped to an armrest but I’ve not seen them for ages.
Sorry I can’t be more help, but you may find that the bottle just stays on the passenger seat.

This looks like it clips into the flap infront of the gear stick.
A bit extreme perhaps, but may do the job.

The armrest holders are a bit rubbish really - you have to keep the armrest up, which makes resting your arm really uncomfortable! I'm sure there must be a better alternative somehow..

Thankyou everyone and thanks for the link. Looks like it might get in the way on a manual gearbox.
The idea of putting it on the passenger seat made me think....pulling the leg support out gives a gap that the bottle might fit in to keep it in one place....going to test that.
Is machine monkey still around?

Yes, he is still on here but I don't think he is still making the cup-holders.
I got a pair of them on the forum from someone who had sold his Z4, and they work really well - so you may find them that way on here. Good luck.

I’ve never quite got the hype around cup holders. I can quite happily go for two hours without a drink without shrivelling.
Drinking shed loads just means more pee stops - especially for those of us with a few miles on the clock!

I got on of these in the end, from ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Cup-Ho ... m570.l1313
It slids between the passenger seat and the centre gearbox console. is fine if there is no one in the passenger seat.
I just put some black foam tape around the top of the cup holder to make it a snug fit.. and it was under a tenner, so disposable
