E89 Wrapping, anyone any experience ?
I've recently bought a wrapped z4 (E85) something I always thought I wouldn't do either, I got really detailed pics of the car pre/during and post wrap so pretty confident in the bodywork underneath.
Mine was done in 3M around 4-5 years ago and although initially I wanted to remove it the more I see it the more I want to keep it on, 3M advise 5-7 years before removing and there is only a few places on mine that the wrap is starting to come away.
The main issue comes from if you have re-painted parts of the car or big stone chips to primer before the wrap is applied, a local place I took mine to says as long as enough heat is used along with patience it will come off pretty easily.

You could have it sprayed in a rubberised paint (youtube it) excellent colour ranges, completely chip resistant and you can simply peel it off if you change your mind. Don't let anyone tell you you can peel a wrap off, that is boll_x, the only way it'll peel off is if its put on badly. Removal can cost as much as fitting. I also read that even a good wrap is only good for around six years!!!!
