Sticky pad for windscreen ???
Hi all, anyone know the best sticky pads for sticking mirrors (Dashcam in my case) to the windscreen? In the hot weather the one I had melted off in the heat and is now useless because the necessary tackiness is now lost with sufficient strength to stick to the windscreen.

3M double sided, 1mm is what I had with my dash cam to stick the mount. I stuck black vinyl first, then the camera behind that, so that from outside, it looks like an extension to the black bit around the light/wiper sensor.
Any recommendations for photo bucket alternative and I'll post pictures.

You need 3M VHB. My dash cam and phone mount have been stuck on with it for quite a while and still rock solid. Also very good for replacing badges on the car.
Best way to make sure it sticks is to thoroughly clean both services with isopropyl alcohol. Glasses or screen cleaner from the pound shop it the cheapest way to get hold of IPA in a small quantity.

Attach to mount first and press down to make sure its stuck, then place on screen and hold in place with pressure for 2 minutes. I'd avoid mounting anything on it for 24hrs.Nick9one1 wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 9:10 am You need 3M VHB. My dash cam and phone mount have been stuck on with it for quite a while and still rock solid.
