RPM drop on idle, any ideas?

Post by gabrielh » Mon Apr 09, 2018 2:04 pm

Hey guys I've been experiencing this issue this I had a new exhaust put on (not sure if it's related to that or just a coincidence):while on idle when engine is warm, it will drop ~50rpm and go right back up every couple seconds. No issues at all while diving. So far I cleaned the MAF sensor and replaced the spark plugs couple weeks ago (before the issue started).
N52 30i engine.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

RPM drop on idle, any ideas?

I have noticed this same behavior with my 2011 Z4 35i. My car has the daul clutch 7 speed in it. When I’m sitting still with my foot on the brake if I let up on the pedal a little the clutch will engage and the rpm drops. Apply a little more pressure to the brake pedal and the clutch releases and the rpm goes back up.
