Hi, what did they actually change for that money? Was it basically an engine oil change or was there more work carried out :?

Hmm, so that’s oil & filter along with the cabin micro filter for £265
Doesn’t seem very good value to me :(

It's robbery but the car is 18 months old and I want it to have a BMW service history. It'll be a local Indy which I used for my previous E85 when she's out of warranty. Steve

Makes my heart race in a bad way  bearing in mind the technician will have a job sheet for that task that probably totalled no more than 25mins
Then folks wonder why 99% of motorists don't like or don't trust main dealers :?
I fail to see why they can't treat a customer with respect & in a manner that shows they actually value the custom ?

You do know that main dealer servicing is not required for warranty purposes, just so long as whoever does the service uses correct parts?

To be fair though, get them to service it and there should be no quibbles or wriggle room if you need to claim on the warranty, but if you trust your indy and they use genuine parts, then that is an option.

I purchased the 5 year or 50,000 mile service pack for £525 when I bought my E89 2.0 in Jan 16 so that seems a potential bargain in comparison.

Got my 1st service done on my 35is for £180 by a main dealer, told them not to replace the micro filter as the car is a fair weather machine, hence roof always down so micro filter not needed. Then got a price for the service from one dealer then rang two or three others for a price, they will invariably try to beat the oppositions price within reason, so ended up saving nearly another £40

£85 for 5l of oil. That's how they fund the nice shiny showroom.
