OK, new rear Pirellis on. Fitter said wear on the old ones was "even right across".
Price, £285, included Hunter geo, now done for the 5th time in 14 months. Once for each set of new tyres + 3 times on 'Unlimited checks in 2 years for £125' contract.

You should have your alignment done more often, I had mine done every other week, via BMW only, got them to inflate my non runflats each time aswell to ensure they were sat at the max PSI possible.

What tyre pressures have you been using? Even wear means you got it spot on.
I can see there's some sort of running joke here about tyre pressures but I missed that memo I think.

Wow. How much doe that cost?
I haven't had ours done yet and I have had the car three years. Tyres are wearing well as I check them and it doesn't pull either way. I can't imagine having them checked so regularly....

I see why people are ribbing now! I tried the suggested pressures in mine and it felt like I was riding on balloons but I have deviated from the stock wheel widths.Busterboo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 11:44 pmI use what BMW say on the label on the door pillar.
But if it handles well and the tyres wear evenly then it's fine. I ended up with 39 in the rear tyres and 35 in the front tyres before I was happy, but I'm using different brand tyres on different sized wheels.

Suspect wilks was just going for randomness... and succeeding.

Mine have been done 5 times in 18,000 miles. But 2 of those were 'complimentary' with new tyres (and you're not going to refuse, are you?). The other 3 were on a contract I opted for.
Of the 5, only once were all 12 measurements within parameters and needed no adjustment.

Took mrs smartbears Mini Cooper in for a hunter alignment check yesterday, it’s a 12 plate with 37k & the guy said it’s fine (it’s not been checked before)Busterboo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:31 amMine have been done 5 times in 18,000 miles. There is no right or wrong answer. With potholes being they way they are, I will probably do ours more often. If you don't you just get poor value from your tyres. Same can be said with checking inflation.Busterboo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:31 amMine have been done 5 times in 18,000 miles. Like I said, the M doesn't seem to have an issue but the curiosity is now killing me, so I may nip in and get it looked at. How much typically does it cost?
