Which seats?

Be sure and find the switches that adjust the side bolsters. Also the lumbar support should probably be minimized..The angle of the seat cushion might also need adjustment. Don't laugh, but I like to drive with my US size 14s off. So I wear driving shoes which are slip-ons and are also narrower. The very effective speed control also enables a lot of control including braking and strong acceleration without even using the right foot, which can be relaxing..I also use two memory seat positions just to change the setting for city driving or highway cruising.
Enjoy

I am 6 foot 1, 16.5 stone but not fat. I find the sports seats fit fine with the inbuilt airbags deflated. I am careful gettin in though, I dont 'drop' into the seat as I think that may shorten its life, if you get my drift....

Which seats?

Post by miloz4 » Thu Mar 22, 2018 3:44 pm

UPDATE - tomorrow I pick up a 10 plate 23i with the bright red Sport seats in black w/ Nav, cruise, bluetooth, 18" alloys, manual (would prefer Auto but this is the right car, and cheap!) to go alongside our black Range Rover Sport and Black Mini Countryman Cooper SD. My wife and I will share the Z4 so we look forward to seeing people out and about. Pics will be posted once I have it!

Thanks again for all the advice.

Kind regards,

Miles

I only had 20 seconds in the car, didn't even close the door.
Hi I’m 6’3” and very well covered with size 16 feet and I managed the 260 mile drive back home after picking mine up yesterday so I doubt you’ll have any trouble.

Go back and have a proper sit in the car, adjust the seat fully to suit and close the door, I’m sure you’ll be ok

Which seats?

Post by miloz4 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 7:56 pm

249 miles straight, non stop to get home and I feel fine. I needn't have worried about the seats, these fitted me fine, I got the base slammed on the floor and the back as far as it will got and it fitted me fine. I bought it as a trade buy so it is very very dirty, a few marks to sort and a need to sort the driver seat bolster, however, what a great drive back, it was fantastic and sounds great. I was amazed how relaxed it was on the motorway but when I pulled off and put it into Sport + it was fantastic. Pulls just enough, rear steps out just enough. Fantastic buy.

A few things i need help with -

Some slight wind noise behind the drivers head, is this normal? Seals look fine, roof is fitting fine.
The door speaker has blown, any good replacements around?
I can't get the roof to go down on the move, do I need to do anything?
I can;'t get the mirrors to fold upon locking the car, what do I need to enable? And yes it DOES have folding mirrors!

Thanks

Glad you you love it

I had a bit of wind noise from my drivers door, put a rubber cleaner which softened it, seemed to do the trick,
Loads of speaker replacements, depends on what sound system you have as to what I would replace it with
Roof only comes down, up to I think 20 MPH (cue someone to correct me)
As far as I know you cant get the mirrors to fold with the remote
Z4 Mineral Grey, 28i MSport Auto, lots of goodies
Z4 E85 3.0, gone but now with son :D
