Battery Registation - Camberley

Post by LeePreston » Sun Mar 18, 2018 7:42 pm

The time has come to change my battery, as I’ve suffered the wonderful and bizarre quirks, and the battery discharge warning.

I’ve been able to get hold of a Varta AGM battery, but don’t really have any way of getting it registered. I’ve read the need to/ don’t need to debates, but would prefer to be safe rather than sorry.

Before heading to a local garage or AA man, i thought I’d chance my arm to see if there was anyone local to me that might be able to register the battery for me? I’m just outside of Camberley, in Surrey. Happy to pay something for the task....

I’m near Newbury if you fail to find someone closer.

Just out of interest, what does registering a battery entail? Mine is on its last legs too and was thinking of going to my local BMW dealer but I guess that will be more costly than buying it myself and getting it installed by a local garage.

They code the car for the new battery, it apparently changes the charging parameters & gives a longer battery life :?
