E89 2011 Z4 s30i Factory Exhaust Swap

Post by kentukred » Sat Mar 03, 2018 9:57 pm

I own a 2011 s30i with a factory single exhaust system. I was recently rear ended and as a result I’m doing a bit of repair to the rear. I’m thinking about updating the exhaust with the E89 dual exhaust system from a 35is and also update the rear bumper to accommodate the left and right single exhaust tips. Is the 35is factory exhaust something that can simply be mounted up without much issue? Any modifications needed? Has anyone performed this upgrade or have any knowledge of problems related to the swap?

Thanks

Hi
Welcome to the forum.

I can’t help you with your question unfortunately, but it is something I’ve been thinking about as well so hopefully someone will be along soon who may shed some light on the idea!

Oh yes and

I would imagine you could pop in to a dealership and swap your car with a single exhaust for one with twin exhaust's & twin turbo's, job done. :D

If only the 35i were as reliable as the 30i, that’s exactly what I would do :poke:

I hope you’re wrong as I ditched my 3.0l for a 35is

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
