These soft bags are on Amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Travel-Dimensi ... 4+e89+bags

Looks like they allow room for the boot cover to go down - so a roof down holiday!
Z4 35i DCT alpine white over ivory nappa.
M140i auto alpine white over black.

They do look nice - and I do like the "soft" holdalls for packing. Price-wise it is not too different from the Hard Cases from Germany (soft cases are from Germany too!), and with that you get a third case plus the two big cases have wheels. Something tells me the hard cases will hold their value for longer though ...

Decisions decisions ... what is sure is that the cases in the link I provided are not worth it, and the these two different sets listed above seem to be giving good value for money!

Thanks

I’ve used hold alls/soft bags and the hard bags - and I know which I prefer !
The hard bags still allow a few items of random junk in front and behind them along with thin jackets on top.

When they are posted for sale on this forum they aren’t up for very long, As long as you look after a used set, you’ll get your money back I’m sure. Soft cases you’ll throw out!
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

We need a celeb to make a plastic carrier bag trendy. I always found them the most flexible form of bag.
Also don't attract attention of thieves, as someone, no longer with us, told me he put his bag down next to his car, for someone to grab it and run off. That was in Austria of all places.

Koffers are the way to go, it's what we use very successfully, and big enough for week, but you still can't really put the roof down until you get to your destination because the rest of the boot space is taken up with all sorts of other stuff, coats, kettle, panama hat, lunch, flask etc etc. We use the flat case which goes under the two big ones for dirty unmentionables! Good when you can dump it all in your hotel though! If you don't want to spend the money, get the Koffer measurements from someone and that'll be the size you can go to. It may give them on the website but I'll get mine down from the loft if you really need to know! ….

SWMBO & I, another week away, all things in Koffers + roof down there & back, perfect, no complaints*. (She really likes the 35iS.)

Koffers also have benefit of limiting what you take. If it don't go in 'em, it don't go. I like that.

(*Well, apart from the price.)

Thanks I just ordered a set, I think cost wise - when compared to “standard” luggage it’s not that bad, and as has already been stated selling them on of I need to will probably recover me a lot of my initial outlay.

Cheers everyone.

Our long trip is three weeks and with careful selection and packing we can survive - hotel sinks have been used to wash the odd shirt and shreddies towards the end of the holiday!

€199 on Koffer24

When / if you change cars, the Roadster Bags will sell very easily - unlike an ordinary used suit case.
Hi
Do these suitcases fit even eithe top down?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick response. I re-read the post and realised they fitted. It’s late and the brain is more dead than usual. I will go ahead and try to order some. Cheers.
