Is this a fair deal
I'm looking to get my first Z4 & I've narrowed it down to a 28i auto.
I'd love to get some expert opinions on if this is a fair deal? Thanks!

If it helps I bought a 20i in pretty much the same spec as what you are looking at with similar mileage direct from BMW about 4 months ago and paid 17k, I'm just not sure what premium the 28i has over the 20i but seems a good deal to me.

I’m not up on E89 pricing however I do know the garage and have bought from them before. They do have some lovely stock that is generally priced a little high. That said, they prep their cars right and have a good reputation for checking their cars over. I expect there is some wiggle room on that price too

From an owner yes I’d say that’s fair Maybe a tad high for the time of the year. If they can hold out till June it’ll probably sell for £17k. I paid a bit more for a 14 plate with slightly less miles 18 months ago. Good to see they’re not plummeting in value!
You just contacted me on eBay by the way regarding a wind deflector I was selling ages ago hope you find one / a car with one!
You’ll love the 28i I’m sure.

Personally, Id like to see £1500 off that price.
Top book trade in for the car is around £14200 so paying £16k for it would be fair on both sides.
I got £13500 trade in for my immaculate 2.0M sport massive spec with 1 former owner and 22000 miles so this at £17500 is a bit too pricey I think.

No mate, not a word.
It will just get traded in on Wednesday and the dealer will stick it on his forecourt for £16k+
Its a shame as its an excellent condition car with lots of spec, would be nice to keep it on the forum, but nevermind, it doesnt really make much odds money wise to me. Just hate letting dealers make easy money but what can you do?

Yes I think your right Rob, although personally, I cannot understand people’s reluctance to travel for the right deal.
Weve driven 400 miles to collect a BMW X3, a Scirocco my wife once owned, an Audi S3 and this z4.....all because the deal was right.
Its just a days hassle which is quickly forgotten when you get home and enjoy your new car.
However, like I say, I wont be gaining much by selling privately, so trading in will be much less hassle. Just thought maybe a forum member might like a chance of the car befoe the dealer adds his £2k+ onto it!

I’ve been to North Wales, Yorkshire, Devon... just to look at a car! I’ve usually got quite specific requirements in terms of spec / colour combos so I’ll travel anywhere for the right car.
Shame to see yours end up at a dealers, as you say, easy money for them but hey, good luck with the new car!!
