Wow.....that didn’t last long
Well, 4 months into ownership of my second z4 and although it’s been an excellent car.....I’m moving it on.
Trouble is, a first grandchild has been announced and even though the zed is the no2 car in the family, we need something more practical.
Ive loved owning it and really didn’t expect to be moving it on so soon, but needs must.
I’m also having lots of leg pain when driving the car over long distances, I’m 6ft 2 and feel that I only just fit into it.
Ive agreed a deal on a brand spanking new Scirocco R with DSG at a massive £7k off list price which we will collect in 2 weeks time.
So, if anyone’s looking for an excellent condition 63 plate 2.0 Msport in red with satnav, DSP sound, comfort access, unmarked 326 alloys with near new tyres, wind deflector, new battery etc, 2 owners and 22500 miles at near trade money, let me know!
Give me £500 over my trade in price of £13500 and it’s yours!

Sad day, sure you will enjoy the VW R. No big sun roof though. Stick around and post up a few snaps when you get the new wheels.

Bad news peddling the Z so soon but you are getting a seriously capable machine there with a Rocco R . the intelligent front diff is really something , i did a good few miles in my sons heavily tweaked Scirocco R (350bhp when it left ) & it was a very refined performance car in every sense . off the mark simply scary , into & out of bends was unbelievably competent & quick yet so comfortable & on a run to France of 1200 miles averaged 36mpg I seriously considered buying it when he sold recently but thought it a little "chavvy" for a 50yr olds weekend machine
Throw some pics up when you get it

Cheers all!
Kinda sad to be moving the zed on, especially with the fantastic community on here!
Rocco is definitely nippy and a fair bit more comfy, but distinctly lacking in headroom.
When haggling the deal for my trade in price, the car is sat with its winter wheels on....so if I do trade it in, it will be traded with the winter wheels.... meaning I will have some excellent 326s and tyres to sell on .....

Surely, if you are providing free childcare then it would be expected that the parents also provide suitable transportation for the little one.....

Shame you’re selling so soon, whoever gets your Z for £14k is going to get a bargain!
I’ve never understood why the Rocco R didn’t get 4wd from the Golf? Lovely car though!

Yes, not sure why it never got the 4wd of the golf.
It will certainly do the job though.
I think the scirocco must be at the end of its production life, that’s why such a good deal.
We were also considering a BMW 435i with the 8 speed Zf box, but it had done 25k and was 2 years old for the same money.
As I’m a bit fussy about the condition of my cars, I decided a brand new Rocco was a better bet.
I had the 3 litre engine and 8 speed box of the 435i previously in an m135i. That was an epic engine/box combo, but the ride quality was woeful, it was like trying to drive a bouncy castle when pressing on.
All things considered, the Rocco seemed to be the sensible choice. We have owned 2 of them previously (1.4s) and they were both very solid, reliable cars....let’s hope the new ones the same!

I remember reading that it couldn’t be fitted because the Scirocco, or the R anyway, is made in a factory which can’t install the 4wd system.
I have always like the Scirocco R

Pity the Zed has to go, but sounds like you've made the right choice - you're hardly replacing it with a people carrier
If you are seriously wanting to sell on here the I'd suggest you knock up a proper ad with pics and post it up in the forum market place
EDIT - ignore above, just seen your ad - Lovely looking motor

Just thought I’d offer it to any forum members looking for one.
I’m just asking for the trade in money plus the value of the 326s which I will otherwise sell privately.
If not takers it’s not an issue whatsoever, it will just be traded in!
