Or are there a distinct lack of mods and options for the E89 23i? Or in general? Came home from Malta yesterday and there was a 320d in the airport on show, covered in M Performance goodies. It looked great. Meanwhile I can't find a decent branded exhaust...where are our goodies?

Have you got the M-sport bits on your car already? Seats, wheel, bumpers, grill are all different.
If it’s just the exhaust you’re after, there’s people on here who can mod the standard one for more sound

You own a low volume niche car. It’s not going to be as supported as a high volume saloon would be.

There are few bits available and what is around is prohibitively expensive.

There are some options on eBay from China.
E89 23i M Sport, Saphire Black, Canberra Beige Leather.
Mods: De-badged, blue callipers, gloss black LCI's and roll over hoops, black performance grills, stubby aerial, rear carbon diffuser, gunmetal powdercoated alloys, custom stainless cat back exhaust.

Yeah it’s a tough car to find aftermarket parts for!

There isn’t a great deal you can do with the 23i bar bolt a supercharger on to get massive gains. The other engines in the range take very well to a re map because they are turbocharged.

I’m in a similar position with my 2.5si as it’s a very similar engine. If your after an aftermarket exhaust I’d get a custom setup by a well regarded exhausts shop.
