Wheel offset advice

Post by del_tl1000r » Mon Jan 29, 2018 1:55 pm

Hi all. Need some expert advice. I am looking to change out my standard 17" wheels for 19s. I have a non M sport 23i. The car isn't lowered and I don't have any plans to. One of the sets of wheels I am considering give 12mm less clearance to the front strut. I am guessing this will be ok. It's the rears I'm wondering about. They are 9.5" wide and have an offset of 33mm. According to the online calculator this gives 23mm less inner clearance and extends the outer by 15mm. I think the inner clearance is ok but is the 15mm extension going to look daft? :? Thanks in advance.

Brill :) Not Veemanns. OEMS I think. So the rears won't look daft then?

No they’ll look ok perfect

Mine are 10j but et38 so would sit fairly similar, maybe slightly wider and it looks spot on.

Thanks for the advice guys. Both your cars look awesome. Wee bit worried they won't look right if the car's not been lowered though. Most pics I've seen of the E89s with aftermarket wheels are almost all lowered so it's a bit hard to judge.

Hi, mine are very close to that et38 + et33 and on standard suspension. Im considering lowering but it doesn't look ridiculously high at the mo.
