Z4M or 35is ?

I think going on the track is really the only safe environment to explore the limits of a 7 -or any car for that matter
Everyone driving in one direction and no scary suprises such as animals or tractors pulling out
-especially if you swerve the hot hatch days and go when like minded folk are respectful to each other and don't want to trash their cars
I made sure i got professional instruction before i took the 7 on a track
Despite that SWMBO was never comfortable with me going on the track
-especially when my wee boy told SWMBO in graphic detail about his experience as a pax
Mind you it's hard on car taking it on track -it uncovers any component weakness driving at the limit
I ended up going home on flat bed on two occasions that i can recall -once in my BDR and another time in my VXE
I trailer my Seven to trackdays and the trailer has a winch in case of disaster. Apart from my alternator giving up the ghost due to radiant heat from the exhaust manifold, I’ve not had any issues so far. I probably could have driven home that day too, but I was glad not to have to test it.

My throttle cable went from its mounting when I was flat out in the straight
Another time the accusump exit pipe came off and sprayed the car with hot oil ,very scary

The latter would be frightening and potentially a disaster for you and those following you...
