M Sport Front Splitter

Post by SteveSmith » Fri Dec 22, 2017 10:51 pm

Hi all,

As some of you may know, I’ve been trying to sort out a cost effective, OEM / M Performance inspired front splitter for the last few months.

Will from Vagroots has been the absolute brains behind it, we’ve purchased a spare bumper to use and spent fortunes posting prototypes backwards and forward for me to trial fit them to my car to be sure!

I’m pleased to say that the final design / prototype was given to the manufacturer and we will have the first batch ready to go by the end of January!

So, there will be 3 available, £145 plus £25 postage which I feel is an absolute bargain considering the work that has gone in to this, the quality of the fit and finish, the amount of hardware used and the OEM design of the splitter.

A £40 deposit will secure you one from the first batch.

Below are the best pictures I have which I hope gives you a clear indication as to what it will look like fitted!

Any questions please let me know!

Just a note, all payments will be direct to Will at Vagroots, I’m not making any money or handling any orders etc. Just trying to promote a product I’ve helped create!

Nice work!!

How does it attach onto the underside of the bumper out of interest? Screws?

It’s bolted, the hardware is really nice. Countersunk in to the splitter.

Looks great. I need to source an M sports front bumper first but if I had one, I would put a deposit down.

Can you try to install it with the bumper on the car?

I personally think it’s light enough to fit with self tapping screws, which I may do quickly to see if it’s possible and also to test the look as everything else on my car is gloss black and this is satin black. I should have it tomorrow so I’ll try to get it on over the weekend.
