Hmm, doesn’t increased tyre wear in the central section indicate over-inflation? :?

As the title said, "... just for information." Some people and I find tyre wear interesting.

Yes, Rob, joking apart, I thought the same thing, of course, but when I asked my local tyre man - in the trade for 45 years - he said, 'A lot of BMs are like that.'

Mind you, as vester86 has said, "... it's not much in this case." And I was quite pleased with 2mm - 0.5mm - 1.0mm, inner to outer, bearing in mind they're rears.

That said, I wouldn't rule out reducing rear pressures if that would make wear even more even.

There are sooooooo many variables that what you have posted is meaningless.

I think the information that was missed out in the original post was possibly the tyre pressures that were being used.
I assume that they were run on BMWs recommended pressures and Buster was trying to show that running these pressures resulted in this almost even wear.
I too have just removed the rear tyres from our car after running them consistently on recommended pressures that some say are too high (3.0 bar on the rear).
My results were a lot more even than Busters with even tread right across the whole tyre leading me to think that Busters alignment could do with a tweak to get even wear.
Different model and tyre manufacturer though.

Possibly an alignment done to check everything is as it should be.
