So, having a web contact form and SMS facility available has definitely been popular but we do find that when we call members back for the quote we're not getting you. We're having to leave lots of voicemail/answerphone messages and potentially missing the opportunity to quote.

"Having just renewed my insurance there are some things that I feel I should share. My Civic was bought to replace my Fiat Bravo M-Jet Sport, this had been flattened while parked in my council rented garage during the storm of Christmas Eve morning 2013. A claim was made on my insurance, Sainsburys Bank underwritten by eSure... Now this year, up went the premium to £560. This before I told them about the SP30 picked up in August (lovely car the Civic and quick). I then phoned Chris Knott and got quoted £520 for a policy with the same excess etc and including the SP30. I then went hunting on the web, finally ending with a quote from Aviva for £342, although I had to settle for excess of £350 and not original £250. I phoned Chris Knott back to say that I would be going with Aviva, but they asked if they could requote to the higher excess. This resulted in a final quote of £325 - quite a saving on my original renewal figure. A little bit of time resulting in a saving of £235. Lesson learned for another time. Just a quick one, I'm 30, 7 years NCD, 9 years driving experience, BB5 postcode, looking at a Z4 coupe 3.0. Performance car experience (330bhp newage Subaru Impreza STI) but no recent RWD experience. Will this cause an issue?

I'd love to be able to help you. For your postcode the insurers' minimum requirement is that the car is garaged or on a drive overnight but we'd also need RWD experience I'm afraid. Maybe next year?

CK beat my van renewal by £130 this month so i must be one of their top customers as all 3 of our vehicles are now
insured with them , been using them around 7/8 yrs & apart from the automated switchboard its 9/10 from me

need your advice about no claims discount, i took my private no claims over to a personal motor trade policy and carried on building up my no claims on that as i had a few toys and keept swapping, now i only have one car i want a single policy again. Can i bring my no claims back over?

You don't normally accrue bonus while on a trade policy so that's unusual but if you can provide proof of claims-free driving covering this period we can use that.
