Hi
Yes, unfortunately, I have just been told the minimum age is now 25 due to claims loss ratios.

(This doesn't affect existing business however).

What sort of european cover do your polices offer? I'm currently with Elephant and get up to 90 days free european comprehensive cover as part of the standard policy :)

Generally, it's 90 days free European cover as well.

Tim, a bit of advice if you would oblige.
I had my car wrote off by some idiot back in November last year and foolishly thought that it would’ve all been sorted out by now.
Now my problem is my insurance is up for renewal next month and the other party hasn’t yet admitted liability, he is however due his 2nd court date sometime next month as he is being prosecuted for careless driving. This is all fine as I know I have no portion of blame and that the evidence and witness will hold him bang to rights eventually, its just that I cant see it done by the time I need to renew my policy.
I have received a payout from his insurance and the only thing outstanding is the actual admission of fault, im concerned that this is going to affect my policy quotations as it is technically an unresolved claim.
I would be interested to hear where, as an insurance company yo stand on this matter, I see it as somewhat a grey area as the accident wasn’t my fault and I have 9 years of previous no claims, clean licence etc.
I would also like to get a quotation from your selves nearer the time, im 28 and was previously driving a focus ST so I hope I qualify.
Thanks,
Rob

Shouldn't be a problem Robb, if you have Protected Bonus.
If you didn't, then you will have to pay the higher amount (with less NCB) & receive a full refund once the claim is sorted in your favour.

However, if you have been paid out by his insurer, then that shows his fault and that is the end of the matter!

Hot off the press!

In 2009 so far, we have saved our new customers a recorded average of £60 (£60.10 to be exact!) off their BEST quote, not just their renewal price, but their BEST quote!
In fact, so successful is the scheme that we have taken on additional staff & next week we have a meeting to look at taking on further personnel!

So, if your insurance is due in the next few weeks, please give us a call freephone on 0800 917 2274 (or 01580 752961 if calling by mobile) and don't forget to state the club reference number found either in my signature or in my introductory post when we first set up the scheme. Insurers find that club/forum users are better 'risks' statistically so make sure you mention the club!

Don't forget to check the criteria you must adhere to, e.g. age, etc.

Hi,

I am thinking about getting 3.0l Z4, I fit all but one crtieria. I am 27, 5yrs NCB, no claims, no points etc, pleasure use only, but my current car is a group 15 2.2 406 HDI coupe. I am not sure if that fits your "1 Years experience" of a sports car. If this dos then I might be in touch...

Cheers

Mal

It's worth a call because you have a good 'risk profile'.

Called today for a quote for my new Z4 and advided that as it cost more than £30k they could not offer a reasonable price! Went to Privelege and got it for £380.

I just took out a policy with you for my coupe and am very pleased with the price you offered me, about 40 quid less than my next cheapest quote.

Happy days.... :driving:

Hi
Just to let you know that I'm out of the office next week (20-24 July) & 24-28 August so if I'm a little tardy in replying, you'll know why!

Please continue to post your experiences on here. We've had a great year so far, taken on more staff - twice now (!) - and streamlined our system to cope better so it's good that we can help you!

One club actually complained that we had so much positive feedback/testimonials on our email, that it took them ages to open it!!!

When ringing for an insurance quote, please don't forget to quote the club name and/or reference number found either in my signature or in the original post of this thread.

Apparently, as I'm not in the office today, they're moving desks to accommodate the new staff arriving soon!

I expect things are a little delayed but we are busy nevertheless!

PM me if you haven't heard anything.
