Struggling to get a reasonable quote

Post by Nuts » Mon Sep 09, 2013 10:07 pm

Tried all of the insurance aggregators and the big ones direct. The cheapest coming back is £900 including protected no claims and monthly installments with Churchill.

I'm 31, had a licence of 13yrs, 8yrs no claims. 1 non fault accident. 6pts - an Sp30 and a CU80 (Mobile Phone usage).

Admiral wanted £1,200!!

It'll probably be the CU80. For some reason insurers come down heavy on that one in particular.

Have you tried putting your girlfriend/ mum on the policy as a named driver?

Downside is that if it's not true, it's insurance fraud.
£700 isn't bad, given 3 negative factors.

It's not insurance fraud but you should be honest about who the main driver will really be.
